Postnatal Care

You’ve just had a baby, Congratulations!

You’ve been having regular checks with your care provider for the past several months and now you’ve been discharged home. It can feel very overwhelming when you now have to look after a little person while you recover from giving birth. You’re probably feeling tired, in pain and perhaps you’re struggling to know what is normal.

As the weeks and months go by you may start to consider time away from your baby e.g. returning to work.

You may also not feel quite like yourself anymore and may be wondering when this will change.

I’m here to help. Common topics you may want to discuss during this time include:

  • pelvic floor health

  • contraception

  • pumping milk away from baby e.g. at work

  • bottle feeding

  • persistent fatigue

  • medical concerns impacting breastfeeding relationship
